We want you to have the most pleasant journey possible with minimal delay to launching off from the marina. Prior to your arrival, review the following to prepare for your tour. Unless you receive instructions that say otherwise, please arrive at the meeting point 15 minutes prior to your appointed meeting time.
All kayakers participating in a rental or a tour with Tavernier Creek Kayak Tours must complete our Participant Waiver & Agreement before they can board a kayak. Parents or legal guardians can sign on behalf of minors in their care who are 17-years-old and younger. You can click here to sign the Waiver & Agreement electronically. Paper copies of the Waiver & Agreement can be furnished upon arrival if you cannot complete it beforehand.
You are encouraged to bring the following to your tour or rental:
A variety of local businesses the parking lot at Old Conch Harbor, but there is usually ample parking. You can park your vehicle anywhere in the red brick parking lot; parking is free.
The meeting point where your tour will begin is behind the green building at Old Conch Harbor (opposite to the Overseas Highway). You will find your tour guide at the docks; there is a desk under some stairs with a sign that says Tavernier Creek Kayak Tours. Though it's recommend you arrive wearing swimwear, there are some restrooms available for those needing to change into swimwear.

Your safety is always our first priority. As registered livery of the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, Tavernier Creek Kayak Tours requires all of its personnel and customers to comply with Florida State Law and local regulation.
Before boarding a kayak provided by Tavernier Creek Kayak Tours, please review the
paddlecraft rental safety flyer published by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission.
Vessels must carry one US Coast Guard-approved life jacket per person onboard. While you are not legally required to wear the lifejacket at all times, it's a good idea to do so if you are not a strong swimmer or in the case of a weather event.
Children under 6-years-old must wear a US Coast Guard-approved life jacket while onboard a kayak.
Severe weather can be deadly for kayakers, especially when wind, lightning, or high waves are present. Even mild winds can make it extremely difficult to reach your intended destination. Stay aware of hazards such as storms, precipitation, high winds, and changing tides.
Tavernier Creek Kayak Tours reserves the right to cancel any tour our rental due to current or forecasted weather events. In such cases, customers will be provided the option to reschedule or recieve a full refund. We understand that cancellations are certainly inconvenient, but your safety remains our first priority.
Alcohol and many other drugs are especially dangerous when combined with any form of boating. Do not operate any boat while impaired by alcohol or drugs.
